The Indian cricket team bowler Mohammed Shami has been given a big order by the Calcutta High Court. The court has said that Mohammad Shami will have to pay a living allowance of Rs 4 lakh every month during his wife Haseen Jahan and daughter living separately. The Calcutta High Court has given this decision on Tuesday. Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan moved the Calcutta High Court against the order of the District Sessions Court.

What was the order of the district session court?

Earlier, a session court heard the case of Mohammed Shami and Haseen Jahan. After this hearing, the court directed Shami to pay Rs 50,000 to his wife Haseen Jahan and Rs 80,000 to his daughter in 2023. However, Shami’s wife Haseen Jahan appealed against the order to the High Court.

What did the Calcutta High Court say in its order?

High Court Judge Ajay Kumar Mukherjee has issued an order in this case. He said- “In my view, it would be appropriate and rational to ensure the financial stability of both the petitioners to the petitioner number 1 (wife) and Rs 2,50,000 to their daughter till the disposal of the main application. However, the husband/Pratist number 2 in relation to the petitioner’s girl will always be free to assist her education and/or other proper expenses in addition to the above amount. (input language)
