Crime has always happened in Bengal due to political patronage: BJP

New Delhi, October 18 (IANS). A case of rape of a 12th class student of Krishna Nagar town of Nadia district of West Bengal has come to light. The opposition has again started targeting the Mamata government regarding this matter. BJP national spokesperson Tuhin Sinha has reacted on this matter.

Speaking to IANS, Tuhin Sinha said, “The process of rape and crime is not stopping in Bengal. Crime has always been happening in Bengal due to political patronage. It shows no sign of stopping. UP CM Yogi ji will take action against the criminals. Let us adopt a different method of dealing with it. Yesterday also you saw that the accused of murder of Ram Gopal Mishra were arrested within five days of the incident. But strictness was taken to maintain law and order. Mamata Banerjee has been unable to do so. I think it is not possible to increase crime without political protection.”

Regarding giving back statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, he said, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made it clear that first delimitation was to be done in Jammu and Kashmir, then elections were to be held and after that statehood was to be given back. , So there is no room for haste and restlessness here. I request Omar Abdullah ji to be patient, the situation here is a sensitive issue.”

On the statement of TMC MP Sagarika Ghosh, he said, “I am very surprised. Sagarika Ghosh is an MP and the duty of an MP is to work in the national interest. The way she believes the news coming from Canada and the agencies there. They are not trusting the Indian government, they are working to protect their own interests. They do not trust their country and the government.
