Darren Sammy elected his dream T20 XI, Rohit Sharma team vice -captain and these two star Indian players are also included
Former captain Darren Sammy, who won the West Indies twice the T20 World Cup, chose his Dream T20 XI. St. Lucia Kings shared this video on her official Instagram, in which Sammy chose the players with whom they want to form their perfect T20 team.
Sammy chose Universe Boss Chris Gayle and Indian captain Rohit Sharma for the opening. At number 3, wicketkeeper batsman Nicholas Puran, while for number 4 and 5, included AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli. However, he said that Puran and Kohli’s position can be changed according to the need of the match.
All -rounder section included Kieron Pollard at number 6 and number 7 at number 7. After this, the bowling department chose leg -spinner Rashid Khan and off -spinner Sunil Narayan. To handle the pace attack, Sammy relied on Sri Lankan veteran Lasith Malinga and India’s Jaspreet Bumrah.
As backup players, Sammy also placed Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo and Samuel Badri in their team. Interestingly, names like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Jose Butler were not included in this Dream XI.
Sammy has played 38 Tests, 126 ODIs and 68 T20 Internationals for West Indies in his career. He is currently responsible for the head coach of St. Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League.
