Crores of users of Apple, Google, Facebook, Telegram are in danger of leaking of private data. Cyber security researchers have claimed that the largest data has been bare so far, in which more than 16 billion passwords have been leaked online. Cyber criminals can make personal information, photos and videos etc. online by using these passwords by misusing these passwords. Not only this, by using these information, big cyber fraud can be done.
1600 crore credentials leaked
Cyber security researchers say that 16 billion i.e. 1600 crore log-in credentials have been leaked online. According to Forbes reports, these include log-in credentials of users using several government services including Apple, Facebook, Google, Github, Telegram. Security researchers have detected a mysterious database, with 184 million records. This database has been uploaded on an unsafe web server, due to which the possibility of their cyber criminals are very high.
Researchers examined 30 of these data sheets, including 3.5 billion records, about 350 crore records. These included many social media platforms, in addition to VPN log-ins, in addition to VPN log-ins there was information of users of corporate and developer platforms. These records were from the beginning of 2025 till now. Security researchers say this is not a common leak, it is a very large data leak, including the old recycled data breeches and new credentials.

Security researchers say that cyber criminals of these credentials can run a large -scale fishing campaign. Apart from this, from account takeover to business can attack e-mail. Most of these services are used extensively by users, due to which it can prove to be a major threat. CEO and co-founder of Keeper Security Researchers Darren Gosian have described it as a big data breech so far.
Google advised users
Given this big data breech, Google has advised users to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) and change passwords. Apart from this, users have been asked to upgrade the account and use the passkey feature, so that social accounts can be better controlled. Google reported that the Passkey feature can prevent any type of fishing attack, it requires biometric authentication for log-in, which is not possible without a user fingerprint or facial scan and pattern lock.
