In fact, a person from Halalkere taluka ate poison in front of Halalkere police station on Monday and later died. The father had lodged a complaint that his daughter, who was allegedly a minor, went missing. According to the information, he had allegedly married an inter -caste love a week ago.
Controversy over the age of the girl
Police said that the girl is an adult, according to school records, she was 19 years old. In this case, the police clarified that the girl’s school documents and Aadhaar cards have been shown more than 18 years of age. However, the family later submitted a birth certificate, showing that her age was two months less than 18 years.

Regarding this entire incident, the police said- “Before we could be able to confirm the contradictory documents and start legal action, the person took this step.” Due to delay in registering the FIR and death of the person, there was a lot of uproar outside Halalkere police station. Family members protested by placing the dead body at the entrance of the police station. The family members of the deceased have demanded action against the police officers and alleged that the person has died due to negligence and delay. The investigation of this entire incident has been started.
