New Delhi: Famous American actor Tyler Christopher on Tuesday passed away following a cardiac arrest at the age of 50. The tragic news of his demise was confirmed by his co-star Maurice Benard on the popular photo-sharing website Instagram.
The Days of Our Lives star breathed his last in his San Diego apartment. He was a truly talented person who lit up the screen with his every performance and relished bringing joy to his loyal audience through his acting, Benard wrote. He further stated that Tyler advocated for better mental health and openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression.
Tyler was best known for his performance in the soap opera General Hospital. He also featured in Days of Our Lives, The Lying Game, Family Law, The Twilight Zone, Charmed, Angel, and The Pretender.
Born in 1972, Tyler was married to Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria from 2002 to 2004. Later, he tied the knot with former ESPN reporter Brienne Pedigo from 2008 to 2021.

You will always be our Prince Nikolas Cassadine. Rest in Eternal Peace!” one of his fans posted on Twitter (now known as X). Another Internet user wrote, “Tyler Christopher was a part of my childhood. I watched him alongside Becky, Jonathan, and Amber become the Three Musketeers. He was my Nicholas Cassadine. I have loved him as an actor and all-around person. I’m heartbroken, this hurts so bad.”
