In this way, the order of worship continued and 5 years passed. One day when he was breaking the flower for Brahmin worship, he was bitten by a snake and he fell into the forest there. When the Brahmin did not return home for a long time, his wife came to find him. Seeing the husband in this condition, she started crying and remembered the forest deity and mother Parvati.
Hearing the call of the Brahmin, the forest god and mother Parvati came and put nectar in the face of the Brahmin, which led to the Brahmin. Then the Brahmin couple worshiped Mata Parvati. Mata Parvati was pleased with her worship and asked her to ask for a bride. Then both of them expressed their desire to have children, then Mother Parvati talked about fasting Vijaya Parvati.
On the day of Ashada Shukla Trayodashi, that Brahmin couple performed this fast of Goddess Parvati methodically, then they received a son. Therefore, due to this fast being of great importance, those who fast on this day have the attainment of children and unbroken good fortune.
According to it, this fast has been known as ‘Jaya Parvati Vrat’ since then and it is a symbol of providing blessings of ‘Jaya’ (Vijay) by Goddess Parvati, which fulfills the wishes of man and brings happiness and prosperity in life and this fast gives the blessings of the virgin girls the blessings.
