Uddhav Thackeray on Monday claimed that the Maharashtra government withdrew the decision to make Hindi mandatory due to opposition from opposition parties.

Thackeray said that if the government did not withdraw the decision, BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and NCP Marathi supporters would also attend the protest march. In fact, Uddhav and Raj Thackeray had said to take out a joint protest rally in Mumbai on 5 July.

Thackeray said that Marathi Ekta broke the heads of Marathi opponents. They raise the head again, so we should maintain unity. Now on July 5, there will be Vijay Utsav in place of the protest front.

The Maharashtra government on Sunday canceled the orders of 16 and 17 April related to three language policy. In the order of 16 April, Hindi was made the third compulsory language from first to fifth class in English and Marathi medium schools. After the protest, Hindi was made optional by changing the order the next day.

Mumbai BJP President said- BJP wins
Reversing Uddhav Thackeray, BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar said- In the true sense, Mahayuti Sarkar and Devendra Fadnavis kept full allegiance to Marathi Mana, Marathi language and Marathi people. The BJP did not make it an issue of prestige. Maharashtra won, Marathi Manus won. I would say that BJP won in this fight.

At the same time, Maharashtra minister Uday Samant alleged that the opposition is politicizing the issue so that it can make it an issue in the BMC elections. There is no truth in the allegations of the opposition.

Government formed a committee on three language policy
CM Devendra Fadnavis and both deputy CM held a press conference on Sunday. During this, CM said- A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of educationist Narendra Jadhav regarding three language policy. Only after its report, a final decision will be taken on the role of Hindi.

Fadnavis accused former CM Uddhav Thackeray and said- Uddhav Thackeray had accepted the recommendations of Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar Committee to start three language policy from class 1 to 12. Also, a committee was constituted on implementing the policy.

Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray had also talked about taking out a joint rally in Mumbai on 5 July over the Hindi language dispute.
