Kolkata. There has been a difference of opinion between two judges of the Calcutta High Court on the bail plea of former West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee and four other people. Due to this, the case has now been sent to the third bench of the High Court, which will take the final decision on bail.

Justice Arijit Bandyopadhyay and Justice Apoorva Singh Rai could not reach a consensus on the bail of Partha Chatterjee, Subiresh Bhattacharya, Ashok Saha, Kalyanmay Ganguly and Shanti Prasad Sinha, arrested in the appointment scam. Justice Arijit approved the bail of all, but Justice Apoorva opposed it and disagreed on the bail of these five.
