The new fare has also been implemented today i.e. 25 August. DMRC said that the fare has been increased from Rs 1 to Rs 4 to Rs 4. Along with this, fares have also been increased for the Airport Express line of Delhi Metro. Delhi Metro said that the fares on the Airport Express line have been increased from Rs 1 to Rs 5 to Rs 5.

This decision of DSRC will directly affect those people who travel in metro for their offices, schools, colleges and business daily. According to the Delhi Metro, the fare has been increased according to the distance of the journey. According to the new fare, the initial fare to travel in Delhi Metro has now been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 11. At the same time, the maximum fare has now increased from Rs 60 to Rs 64. Passengers will now have to pay more fare to travel on National Holiday and Sunday.

DMRC had fixed the fare of the metro for the days from Rs 10 to Rs 50 for the holiday, which has now been increased from Rs 11 to Rs 54. According to DMRC, for 0-2 km, now Rs 11 will be spent Rs 11 instead of Rs 10, Rs 21 instead of 20 km, Rs 32 instead of 30 km, Rs 43 instead of 40 for 12-21 km, Rs 54 instead of Rs 21-32 km and Rs 6 for more than 32 km instead of Rs 60. However, people using Delhi Metro cards will also get a 10 percent discount on new ticket prices.
