Delhi will get rid of jam, PM Modi will do Delhi’s Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi On August 17, 2025, at around 12:30 pm, two major National Highway Projects will inaugurate a joint cost of about Rs 11,000 crore in Rohini, Delhi. These 2 projects-Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway and urban expansion road-II (UER-II) have been developed under the government’s comprehensive plan to free the capital from crowds. Its purpose is to reduce the traffic burden in Delhi and its surrounding areas along with widespread improvement in connectivity, reduced travel time.
10.1 km long Delhi section is built at a cost of Rs 5360 crore
The 10.1 km long Delhi section of Dwarka Expressway has been developed at a cost of about Rs 5360 crore. These sections will also provide multi-model connectivity to Yashobhumi, DMRC’s blue line and orange line, upcoming Bijwasan railway station and Dwarka cluster bus depot. The 19 km long Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in March 2024. This section consists of 2 packages-
- Package I: 5.9 km from Shiv Murthy intersection to Road Under Bridge (RUB) in Dwarka Sector-21.
- Package II: To provide direct connectivity to 4.2 km, Urban Extension Road-II from Dwarka Sector-21 RUB to Delhi-Haryana border.
UR-II’s Alipur to Dhinchau Kalan section will also be inaugurated
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Dhinchau Kalan section from Alipur to Alipur, along with the new link road for Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, built at a cost of about Rs 5580 crore. This will reduce traffic burden in very busy places like Mukraba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan and NH-09 along with the internal and outer ring road of Delhi and the journey will be convenient. The new road will provide direct access to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat and with this, industrial connectivity will improve. This will reduce urban traffic and will also speed up the movement of goods in NCR.
