DGCA’s big decision, directed to increase safety investigation of Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft

A fierce plane crash occurred on 12 June in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft crashed, with 242 passengers. Many people have died in this accident. Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani was also riding in the same aircraft. This accident has caused a stir in the whole country. Meanwhile, DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has issued instructions to increase safety investigation on Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft. Explain that the new instruction will be implemented from 12 June 2025.
DGCA gave these instructions on safety investigation of Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft:
1- This investigation will be done before every aircraft flight
- Fuel parameters will be monitored and related systems.
- The cabin air compressor and its associated systems will be examined.
- The electronic engine control system will be tested.
- The operation of the engine fuel driving actuator will be tested for the operational test and oil system.
- There will be servicability check of the hydraulic system.
- The take-off parameters will be reviewed.
2- ‘Flight Control Inspection’ will now be mandatory in transit inspection, which will remain in force till further orders.
3- Power Assurance check, will have to be completed in the next two weeks.
4- Instructions to complete the maintenance action as soon as possible based on review of frequent technical malfunctions in the last 15 days.
Flight was going to London, then accident happened
Please tell that the air India aircraft that has been victim of the accident was going from Ahmedabad to London with 242 passengers. Shortly after flying, the aircraft crashed. A total of 297 people, including 241 people aboard the aircraft, died in this accident. In this incident, only one person aboard the aircraft has been identified, who has been identified as Ramesh Vishwas Kumar, who is a British citizen.
