West Indies vs Australia Test 2025: West Indies have announced their 16 -member team for the three -Test series against Australia. Shai Hope has returned to the team.

Hope, the captain of ODI and T20 International Team due to the great form in limited over cricket, has got a chance in the team and can play his first Test since 2021, when the first match will start in Bridgetown on 25 June.

Guyana’s batsman Kevalan Anderson has been included in the team for his good performance in domestic cricket. He can make international debut in this series.

West Indies head coach Daren Sammy said, “I am excited to include young players Kevalan Anderson in the team, who will help provide stability in the top order after good performance in the domestic tournament. Also, Shai Hope’s return is welcome, as he has performed well in white ball cricket.”

Hope has scored 1726 runs in 38 Tests for the West Indies, including two centuries and five half -centuries.

The team has not been given a place to veteran fast bowler Kemar Roach, who has 284 wickets in Tests. At the same time, Shamar Joseph is part of the team, who was the hero of the victory in the Brisbane Test against Australia last year.

The second Test of the series will be played in St. George and the third in Kingston. The series is part of the 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle.
