Dharli victims will get immediate assistance of Rs 5 lakh, CM Dhami announced

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday announced an immediate assistance of Rs 5-5 lakh to the people killed in the Dharli disaster and the families of their homes. The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a three -member committee to rehabilitate, overall revival and permanent livelihood of villagers affected by disaster. The committee headed by Secretary (Revenue) will submit its preliminary report to the government within a week. This will create a blueprint for a long -term and effective policy for the future of Dharali village, so that the security and livelihood of the local community can be ensured.

Rescue operation continues in Dharali village

Please tell that in the past, there was a huge havoc in Dharali village of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand due to cloudburst. Meanwhile, relief and rescue operations are going on in the areas around the disaster -hit Dharali village, under which 128 more devotees and local people were taken out on Friday. So far, the total number of devotees and locals has been taken out to 566. Rescue and relief operations are being carried out through air route due to the damaged of several routes including Gangotri National Highway. According to official data, 128 devotees and locals were taken out by helicopter till noon on Friday alone. These people have been taken out and brought to the Matli helipad of the India Tibetan Border Police.

There was havoc due to cloudburst

Please tell that on August 5, after noon, four people died in the severe flood in the Kheerganga river due to cloudburst. Two bodies have been recovered from the disaster. According to the Uttarakhand State Emergency Operations Center, 16 people, including nine army personnel, have gone missing in the disaster. However, local people say that the number of people missing in the disaster may be much higher as there were workers from Nepal and Bihar working in the hotels under construction at the time of the incident and there were tourists staying in hotels there. Apart from the Uttarakhand government, Army Chinook and M-17 helicopters are being used. Advanced equipment is also being transported on the spot by air to search for missing people in a pile of debris in Dharali.
