On 21 June 2025, when the country and the world were celebrating International Yoga Day, Bollywood’s most favorite and experienced actor Dharmendra also shared hearts about yoga. Even at the age of 88, when Dharmendra smiles with full enthusiasm in front of the camera and says that “people say old, but I am getting young”, this is not just a dialogue but his positive attitude towards life.

New energy received from yoga

In the video shared by ANI, Dharmendra said that Yoga has given him new energy. He says that many times people look at them and say that they are now old, but they believe that Yoga has refreshed and alive again.

He said, “Yes, it is important … diseases can be overcome … Breathing shortness can also be cured. Health is wealth… that is that.”

Dharmendra praised Prime Minister Modi and Baba Ramdev’s efforts to promote yoga, saying, “This is our Tehzeeb, our legacy… It has been saved, otherwise an attempt was being made to patent it abroad.”

Dharmendra’s talk from actor to inspiration from heart

Dharmendra shared not only about yoga, but also the struggle and inspiration of his life. He told how his dream was to be like Dilip Kumar. He would see himself in the mirror every day and think – “Will I be able to become Dilip Saheb?”

Today, even at this stage of age, Dharmendra is not taking the name of stopping. He says, “People like or not, I will keep doing my work.” And this is the real inspiration – never give up, love yourself and believe in yourself.
