Australian veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist has given a statement about Mahendra Singh Dhoni which will probably not like Mahi’s fans. Gilchrist wants MS Dhoni to retire from the Indian Premier League. Talking on the cricbage, Gilchrist has advised MS Dhoni to retire after IPL 2025.

43 -year -old Dhoni is currently captaining Chennai Super Kings in the absence of injured Ruturaj Gaikwad. However, under Dhoni’s captaincy, the condition of CSK has not improved and he is still at the bottom of the points table. Prior to the CSK match against Punjab Kings, Gilchrist said that Dhoni is an icon of IPL and world cricket and he has nothing left to prove anyone.

Edam Gilchrist said before the CSK vs Punjab Kings match, “MS Dhoni has nothing to prove anyone in cricket. Well, they will know what to do, but for the future, for the future, they may not need to play IPL next year. I love you MS, you are a champion and an icon.”

If we talk about the current version of the IPL, Chennai Super Kings have won only 2 of their 9 matches and this year the dream of playing playoffs has remained in the earth. His batting proved to be his weakness this season. CSK has included players like Ayush Mhatre and Dewald Brevis this season as replacement but it seems that they have been too late to take this decision. The 17 -year -old Mhatre appeared in a good rhythm in both the matches played against Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Dewald Brevis played a brilliant innings in his debut against Hyderabad.

At the same time, if players like Rahul Tripathi, Rachin Ravindra, Deepak Hooda and Ravichandran Ashwin had done well for Chennai, then this team would have been different in the points table at this time.
