Digital Life Certificate: The central government has started the Digital Life Certificate Scheme for the convenience of pensioners, so that home pensioners can get rid of the problem faced in making physical life certificate.

Digital Life Certificate: Every year, lakhs of pensioners in the country face a lot of problems in getting a life certificate. Still, some pensioners are not able to submit it on time. Due to which their pension is stopped. Let us tell you that it has to be submitted once a year. In such a situation, the central government has started the Digital Life Certificate Scheme for the convenience of pensioners, so that home pensioners can get rid of the problem of making physical life certificate. Jeevan Pramaan is a biometrically enabled digital service for senior citizen pensioners. Pensioners of the Central Government, State Government or any other government institution can use this facility.

Create a digital life certificate from a smartphone

Pensioners do not need a biometric device to create a digital life certificate. It can be created using any smartphone through the Face App. It can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and used at home. Keep in mind, Aadhaar Face RD service will be required to use it.

Pensioners will need some necessary documents to create a life certificate through a mobile phone.

• The pensioner must have an Aadhaar number.
• The Aadhaar number should already be registered with the pension distribution agency.
• Pensioners must have a mobile number and email ID.
• PPO/EPPO number and pension account number should be there.
• Please note that after installing both the applications, the operator will have to do the verification. Once the operator is verified, an operator can create DLC for multiple pensioners.

Last date for submission of life certificate

Let us tell you that the last date for all pensioners to submit their life certificate is 30 November 2024, which can be submitted from 1 November 2024. At the same time, pensioners above 80 years of age are allowed to file annual life certificate from 1 October instead of 1 November, so that they can easily submit it and avail the pension seamlessly. However, this last date is extended many times.
