Film writer and director Manish Gupta has been accused of attacking his driver with a knife. The driver has lodged a complaint at Versova police station in Mumbai. According to the information received from the police, on May 30, Manish Gupta fired his driver Mohammad Lashkar from his job. But a few days later, he was re -hired. Meanwhile, there was a dispute between the two after which Manish Gupta allegedly attacked his driver with a knife. According to the information, Mohammad Lashkar worked with Writer Director Manish Gupta for 3 years and also paid a remuneration of Rs 23000. However, Manish Gupta, through his lawyer, has told the police that all the charges made are baseless.

Manish Gupta is a Bollywood veteran writer and director. Manish has made 6 films as a director and has written a script of more than 10 films. Manish started his career as a director with the 2005 film ‘Darna Service Hai’. After this, made films like ‘The Stoneman Murders’, ‘Mystery’, ‘420 IPC’ and ‘One Friday Night’ and earned a lot of name. Along with the direction, Manish is also a veteran writer and has written the story and screenplay of more than 10 films so far. Amitabh Bachchan has also been a director of starrer film ‘Sarkar’. Manish, who started his career as a writer with a film named D, has written a script of more than 10 films including James, Sarkar.

Police will take action in case soon

On June 3, Mohammad Lashkar, the driver of the director, called Gupta and asked for the outstanding amount. Gupta allegedly told him that he would get salary only when he would return to work. Believing this, Lashkar returned to work on 4 June. However, he has not yet received salary. The next day the situation became violent. On June 5 at around 8:30 pm, when both were in Gupta’s Versova office, Lashkar once again asked about their pending salary. This allegedly angry Gupta and shouted at him. He then allegedly took a kitchen knife and attacked the right part of Lashkar torso. Despite being injured, the Lashkar managed to get out of the office and called for help. A driver and the building watchman present nearby came to help him. After this, Lashkar went to Cooper Hospital in Wile Parle West with auto-rickshaw, where he was treated. When his condition stabilized, Lashkar went to Versova police station and lodged a complaint. Based on his statement, Manish Gupta was booked under sections 118 (2), 115 (2) and 352 of the Indian Justice Code. These include allegations of using dangerous weapons to cause serious injuries and using derogatory words fearing disturbing peace. No arrests have been made yet.
