New Delhi. Sri Krishna Janmashtami is being celebrated today in the entire NCR including Delhi, Noida. Programs have been organized on Janmashtami in several temples including ISKCON temple. During this time a large number of devotees are expected to come. Police of Delhi, Noida and Gurugram have issued traffic advisory. Police said that diversion will be applicable on many roads from 8 am to 2 pm on Saturday.
Advisory for those visiting ISKCON temple
In view of the possibility of gathering a huge crowd of devotees during the Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival at ISCCON Temple in East of Kailash, Delhi, the traffic police has issued an advisory for Saturday, which has been reported to close roads in parts of South and South-Eastern Delhi, stopping roads and stopping the movement of heavy vehicles. According to the advisory, people will be able to come on foot during the celebration on King Dhir Sen Marg between Captain Gaur Marg and Sant Nagar Lal Batti. Vehicle drivers have been advised to use alternative routes like Captain Gaur Marg, Outer Ring Road, Mahatma Gandhi Marg and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg.
- Captain Gaur Marg Ring Road Crossing: Vehicles coming from Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Inner Ring Road) will be diverted to the ashram or Moolchand.
- Captain Gaur Marg Outer Ring Road Crossing: Vehicles coming from Outer Ring Road will be diverted towards Modi Mill flyover.
- Outer Ring Road Paras Chowk: Vehicles coming from Outer Ring Road will be diverted towards Modi Mill Flyover or Chirag Delhi.
These roads will remain closed
- Raja Dheer Sen Marg (between Captain Gaur Marg and Sant Nagar Light Signal) will be for pedestrians. Road for vehicles will remain closed.
- Only real residents’ vehicles will be allowed to go between Raja Dheer Sen Marg/Captain Gaur Marg T-Point and Sant Nagar Traffic Signal.
Advice to go through these roads
The drivers can use Captain Gaur Marg, Outer Ring Road, Mahatma Gandhi Marg and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg to reach their destination.
Gurugram police issued traffic advisory
On Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Gurugram Police issued a traffic advisory that a fair will be held in Prem Mandir, Railway Road, Gurugram from 5:00 pm on 16.08.2025. For this, drivers are advised to make a plan to travel according to the advisory.

- 4/7 from Chowk to Sohna Chowk
- Change the route via New Colony Mor to Pataudi Road
- Sohna Chowk/Shiv Murthy Chowk towards railway road
- Shiva Murthy turned left → Lady Fatima School → New Colony Mor → Railway Road
Traffic advisory in Noida
Noida Traffic Police said that on 16.08.2025, the festival of Sri Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated in various temples, in which the main event is proposed to be organized on ISKCON Temple SA0-33 and Sanatan Dharma Temple S19. There is a possibility of a large number of devotees to be included in the program, in view of which traffic will be diversified as follows.
- The movement of all types of vehicles will be banned from NTPC underpass intersection towards Gijhod intersection and from Gijhod Chowk towards NTPC. Vehicles that have to come from Gijhod intersection to Atta Andarpas, those vehicles turned from Gijhod intersection and turned right from Hoshiarpur Tirahe and turned from Citi Santer/Gijhod Chowk to the right from Gijhod Chowk and can go to their destination and go to their destination and the vehicles which have to come towards the venue (ISKCON temple). The movement of vehicles between Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk and Golchakkar Chowk will be banned according to the situation.
