DMK Rajya Sabha MP Tiruchi may be the Vice Presidential candidate of opposition coalition India. According to NDTV report, the name may be announced in the meeting of India block on Monday evening.

The leaders of India Block will hold an online meeting at 5.30 pm. In this meeting chaired by Kharge, the name of Joint Candidate for the post of Vice President may be decided. At the same time, news agency ANI quoted sources as saying that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh sought support for the NDA Vice Presidential candidate on the phone on Sunday night.

Nadda said- will talk to the opposition for uncontested election
BJP President and Union Minister JP Nadda said on Sunday that his party would talk to the opposition to choose CP Radhakrishnan unopposed in the Vice Presidential election on 9 September. Nadda said that efforts are being made to build consensus. We will also talk to the opposition, so that we can jointly hold the post of Vice President unopposed.

Nadda said, ‘We had also said earlier that we are in touch with him (opposition), and our senior leaders have approached him and we will be in touch with him further. All NDA colleagues have supported us in the name of CP Radhakrishnan.

CP Radhakrishnan will file nomination on August 21
NDA Vice Presidential candidate Radhakrishnan will file nominations on 21 August. During this time all the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA ruled states will also be present.

Voting will be held on 9 September for the Vice Presidential election. There will also be counting on the same day. The last date for filing nomination is 21 August. Candidates can be withdrawn by 25 August.

In fact, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar suddenly resigned from the post on the night of 21 July. The tenure of 74 -year -old Dhankar was till 10 August 2027.
