Doctors gave new life to the girl in Pali, she regained consciousness after 7 days
Pali News Desk, A 12 year old girl who was sleeping in Pali house was bitten by a snake. He was referred to the city hospital in critical condition. The girl became a victim of neuro paralysis due to snake bite and went into coma. The doctors put her on a ventilator and after 7 days the girl regained consciousness. The case is of Sojat in Pali district. The girl was treated at Bangar Hospital in Pali, where the doctors gave her a new life. Now his health is gradually improving.
Bitten by poisonous snake of common krait breed
Priyanshi, 12 year old daughter of Parasmal, resident of Nehra Beda village of Sojat City of the district, was bitten by a snake. On November 10, Priyanshi was sleeping with her family at home. During this time, at 4.30 in the morning, he was bitten by a common krait snake. He woke up his mother and said that the snake had bitten him on his hand. When mother switched on the light, the snake was seen. Within no time the snake disappeared from sight. Priyanshi became unconscious due to snake bite. The family took her to Sojat City Hospital. Where the doctors, seeing Priyanshi’s condition, referred her to a higher center.
Reached Bangar Hospital on 11th November
The family took him to Bangar Hospital in an unconscious state on 11 November. Admitted to the PICU ward in the unit of Dr. Rafiq Qureshi of the Pediatric Department. The unit’s senior specialist Dr. SN Swarnakar, junior specialist Paresh Dave, junior specialist Dr. Kapil Tak and Dr. Chandraveer Parmar started the treatment by taking the patient on a ventilator. Doctors told – the girl developed neuro paralysis just 2 hours after the snake bite. It was done. Due to which she went into coma. Brain stopped working. The girl could have died if she did not get timely treatment. The team saved the girl’s life by giving anti-snake venom and life-saving medicines to reduce the snake’s venom. Seeing the condition of the girl, treatment was started by keeping her under observation on a ventilator. She remained on the ventilator for seven days. On the eighth day, after seeing improvement in the girl’s body, she was removed from the ventilator. The family is also happy with his regaining consciousness. Doctors said that the treatment will continue until the girl speaks and walks normally.
Doctor said- There are two types of snakes
Dr. Paresh Dave, junior specialist of the Pediatric Department, said – There are two types of snakes. The first is neuro paralytic and the second hematotoxic. In neuro paralytic, snake venom directly affects the patient’s brain. Due to which the patient gets neuro paralysis and the brain stops functioning. In hematotoxic, blood clotting stops in the patient’s body. Due to which the organs stop working and gradually the organs get damaged and the patient gets gangrene. Due to which the patient’s limbs have to be amputated. The girl was bitten by a neuro paralytic snake. Due to which he got neuro paralysis within 2 hours.
