Union Health Minister JP Nadda
Since the Korona period, there have been more incidents of heart attack. Meanwhile, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda said on Friday that Kovid vaccination had not affected the risk of a heart attack. In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, he also clarified that figures related to the cases of heart attack are not kept at the central level.
ICMR-NIE has studied this
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), to understand the reasons for the heart attack, the ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiological (ICMR-NIE) has conducted a study in 25 hospitals across the country.
Study between October 2021 and January 2023
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, JP Nadda said that these cases were of patients between the ages of 18 and 45, who were admitted to the hospitals included in the study included in the study between October 2021 and January 2023 with ‘Acute Myocardial Infarction’ (AMI).
Patients aged 18 to 45 years involved
AMI is usually called a heart attack. This condition arises when the blood flow in one part of the heart muscle decreases significantly or is completely blocked. The monitoring group included patients between the ages of 18 to 45 years, who were admitted to the same hospital for other reasons.
Kovid vaccination does not have the risk of AMI
Sharing the major findings of the study (not yet published), Nadda said that hospitalization with AMI was already associated with family history and smoking of blood clots in the blood vessel. He said that vaccination against Kovid-19 had no effect on the risk of AMI.
