Dol Gyaras Katha 2025: Gyaras of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is known as Jaljhulani Ekadashi. It is also known by the names of Parliament Ekadashi and Dole Gyaras etc. On this day, worship of Lord Vamana is special. In some places, the sun worship of Lord Krishna is performed on this day. First story: Story of Lord Krishna and mother Yashoda:

This story is related to the birth of Lord Krishna. It is believed that when Lord Krishna was born, his mother Yashoda burnt him in a cradle. For this reason, this Ekadashi is known as Jaljhulani Ekadashi or Dole Gyaras. According to another belief, Lord Krishna came out of the house for the first time on Ekadashi after Janmashtami. This was his first social festival, in which he was taken out in a palanquin or a dole. Therefore, on this day the statue of Lord Krishna is taken out by sitting in a beautiful dole or palanquin and they are taken to the rivers or ponds and bathe.

Second story: Story of Mata Devaki’s fast:

According to another legend, Mata Devaki kept a fast to save her eighth son, Lord Krishna from Kansa. The name of this fast was Kalyani Ekadashi. It was due to the effect of this fast that Lord Krishna was born and he could escape from the atrocities of Kansa. It is believed that by observing the fast of Dole Gyaras, all the sins of the devotees are washed away and they attain salvation. This fast is also kept for the long life of the child. Thus, the festival of Dole Gyaras is dedicated to the pastimes of Lord Krishna and his divinity. This day is observed with devotion, gaiety and religious rituals.

Third story: Story of Bali Vamana:

There was a demon called Bali in Tretayuga, he conquered Indralok and all the gods due to malice from Indra. For this reason, all the gods gathered and went to God and started worshiping and praising God through Veda mantras. Therefore, Sri Krishna took the fifth incarnation by taking the form of Vamana and then conquered King Bali in a very stunning form. Then, while pleading with three steps of land from the sacrifice, he resolved to give him three steps and enhanced his Trivikram form to complete the heavenly from one position, the other from the other. Now to keep the third step, King Bali tilted his head and put his leg on his forehead, causing him to go to Hades.
