Domestic stock market rejoices over Trump’s victory, Sensex and Nifty rise sharply
– Investors earned Rs 7.91 lakh crore in 1 day
New Delhi, 6 November (HS). Due to the election success of Donald Trump in America, there was a strong bullish atmosphere in the domestic stock market today. Today’s trading also started with gains. As soon as the market opened, the stock market fell into the red mark for a few minutes due to selling pressure, but after this Sensex and Nifty took the bullish path. As the counting trends came from America, the strength of the stock market increased. After the whole day’s trading, Sensex closed with a gain of 1.13 percent and Nifty with a gain of 1.12 percent.
In today’s trading, shares of IT, Oil & Gas, Realty, Power and Utility sectors were bought the most. Apart from this, Banking, Automobile, Capital Goods, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Healthcare, Metal and Tech indices also closed strongly. There was continuous buying in the broader market today, due to which the BSE midcap index closed with a gain of 2.28 percent. Similarly, the Smallcap Index ended today’s trading with a gain of 1.96 percent.
Today, due to the strength in the stock market, the wealth of stock market investors increased by about Rs 8 lakh crore. The market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased to Rs 452.79 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading. Whereas on the last trading day i.e. Tuesday, their market capitalization was Rs 444.88 lakh crore. In this way, investors made a profit of about Rs 7.91 lakh crore from today’s trading.
Today, there was active trading in 4,063 shares in BSE in the day’s trading. Of these, 3,013 shares closed with gains, while 961 shares were in decline, while 89 shares closed without any movement. There was active trading in 2,504 shares in NSE today. Of these, 2,012 shares closed in the green mark after earning profit and 492 shares closed in the red mark after incurring losses. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 25 shares closed with gains and 5 shares closed with decline. Whereas out of 50 shares included in Nifty, 40 shares closed in green mark and 10 shares closed in red mark.
BSE Sensex opened today with a gain of 295.19 points at the level of 79,771.82 points. Due to selling pressure as soon as trading started, this index fell by more than 310 points from the opening level in the first 10 minutes and fell to 79,459.12 points with a weakness of 17.51 points. After this decline, buyers took charge and started buying aggressively. With the support of continuous buying, about an hour before the end of today’s trading, this index jumped by 1,110.61 points from the low level and reached 80,569.73 points with a gain of 1,093.10 points. After the whole day’s trading, the Sensex slipped slightly below the upper level and closed at 80,378.13 points with a gain of 901.50 points.
Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty jumped 95.45 points today and started trading at 24,308.75 points. Due to selling pressure as soon as the market opened, this index fell by more than 100 points from the opening level and fell to 24,204.05 points with a weakness of 9.25 points. However, after this, due to buying support, the movement of this index increased. With the support of continuous buying, this index succeeded in reaching 24,537.60 points with a gain of 324.30 points. However, due to slight profit booking in the last hour, this index slipped by about 50 points from the upper level and closed at the level of 24,484.05 points with a gain of 270.75 points.
After the day’s buying and selling, among the big stocks of the stock market, Bharat Electronics joined the list of today’s top 5 gainers with a gain of 5.41 percent, Adani Enterprises by 4.48 percent, TCS by 4.24 percent, Infosys by 3.96 percent and Tech Mahindra by 3.73 percent. . On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance fell by 1.79 per cent, Titan Company by 1.65 per cent, HDFC Life by 1.19 per cent, IndusInd Bank by 1.14 per cent and Hindustan Unilever joined the list of today’s top 5 losers with a fall of 0.82 per cent.
