Donald Trump again made a statement about the tariff, said-‘Not trying to raise the benefit’
US President Donald Trump
Donald Trump Rejection Over us tarifs: Donald Trump has said that the US is not trying to create any pressure while interacting at tariff rates for trade with other countries. Talking to reporters in Pennsylvania on Sunday night, Trump said, “I want fairness.” He further said that the US wants to see “wherever possible, mutual tariff”. He claimed that his tariff policy would bring “hundreds of billion dollars” to the US economy. He also accused his predecessor Joe Biden of mismanagement.
Negotiations continue between India and America
Trump’s comment comes at a time when the US has made several trade agreements, but talks are still going on with many countries including India. Trump has announced a 25 percent tariff on India but has taken a soft stand on its business relations with Russia. He has even said that both countries have “dead economies”. The sixth round of talks are likely to begin in August when an American team will come to India.
Trump has accepted this thing
According to media reports, on the sidelines of political rhetoric, India and America are working towards mutually profitable trade agreement. Some analysts say that 25 per cent of the fee may be only a strategy of bargaining. Trump on Sunday admitted without referring to a country in his conversation with journalists that “could not be possible for some countries”.
What do Trump believe
Developing economies have been imposing more duty on imports from rich countries like America, so that local markets can be saved from being affected by foreign goods. In contrast, they have to pay a low fee for selling their goods and services in developed areas. Trump has resolved to change it, as he believes that American manufacturers should not lag behind foreign goods manufactured at low cost in countries like China.
Trap said this
Recently, Trump also said that despite having ‘very good relations’ with India, the ‘only problem’ is that India is one of the highest customs countries in the world. Trump said this during a discussion on America’s relations with India in an interview with American news website ‘Breitebart News’. He also said that I believe that he (India) is going to cut the charges to a great extent.
