A suitable American oil company being selected
According to the news, Trump also reported that a usual American oil company is being selected for the project, which will lead the partnership. He added in a funny tone- who knows, maybe one day Pakistan would also sell oil to India. However, accurate information about the oil reserves mentioned by Trump has not been made public at present.
No official response from Pakistan yet
The Government of Pakistan has not yet given any official response to this agreement. At present, Pakistan supplies most of the oil from the Middle East. However, some reports have reported that the country still has unseen oil reserves in the maritime sector. The exploitation of these areas has not been possible so far due to technical capacity and lack of financial resources. Pakistan has been trying to draw investment in these areas for the past years.
