Dream changed in reality: Ryan Parag’s havoc, Moin Ali threw the fourth most expensive over in IPL history
Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Moin Ali put his third over in front of Rajasthan Royals captain Ryan Parag, which became the fourth most expensive over in IPL history. In this over, Parag hit five consecutive sixes and spoiled the figures of both Moin and KKR.
In the IPL 2025 match played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, KKR bowler Moin Ali bowled brilliantly in the first two overs and took two wickets for 11 runs. But in the third over, Rajasthan captain Ryan Parag launched a tremendous attack on him.
Parag took a single off Shimron Hetmyer on the first ball of Moin’s over and then hit sixes from all the remaining five balls. The four sixes came on the leg side and the last six on the off side, when Moin tried to bowl with a wide angle.
A total of 32 runs were scored in this over and Moin Ali’s bowling figure was: 3 overs, 43 runs, 2 wickets. This over has become the fourth most expensive over in IPL history. Apart from this, it is also the most expensive over ever dumped by Kolkata Knight Riders.
Ryan Parag has become the fifth batsman in IPL history to hit five sixes in an over. Interestingly, two years ago, Parag himself expressed his desire that he wanted to hit four sixes in an over-now he made the dream more big by killing five.
