ED raids of AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj: in hospital construction scam
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 13 locations including AAP leader and former minister Saurabh Bhardwaj’s house on Tuesday morning. He is accused of corruption in hospital construction.
Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) started an investigation into large-scale corruption charges in health structure projects during the AAP government a year ago.
The investigating agency had registered a case against former health ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj and Satyendra Jain in June. ACB later transferred the case to ED. The central agency had registered a case in July.
On this action, Arvind Kejriwal wrote on X, “Saurabh Bhardwaj’s house is red. It shows that the Modi government has fallen behind the AAP. The government wants to suppress our voice. We are not afraid of the BJP. We are standing with the interests of the country.”
Atishi said- This red 100 percent is fake
Why did the ED red at Saurabh Bhardwaj? Actually, PM Modi’s degree is being discussed since yesterday. What kind of university is this, which is not proud that the PM of the country has studied from them. This red 100 percent is fake, because at which time this is the case, Saurabh was not the minister. He became a minister after two years.
It is ridiculous. Two-three years before you become a minister, you are getting red on matters. This has become such a thing, as if Modi ji’s house falls red on Colgate Scam and 2G scam.
Investigation was done on the complaint of BJP leader… know this whole matter
BJP leader Vijendra Gupta, after a complaint on 22 August 2024, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena approved the investigation of the hospital scam on 25 June this year. In the complaint, Gupta accused the then ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj and Satyendra Jain of corruption in the health department. However, AAP denied these allegations.
Both ministers were accused of delaying 24 hospital projects worth ₹ 5,590 crore. It was said that this increased the cost of these projects. After this, the Delhi Vigilance Department investigated the complaint. After this, the Entry Corruption Bureau (ACB) lodged an FIR on the orders of LG. ACB transferred the case to ED in July.
