Id-e-milad: Milad-un-Nabi is an Islamic festival celebrated as the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. It is celebrated on the 12th date of the third month of the Hijri calendar, Rabi-ul-Awawal. On this day, Muslims celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad by remembering their birth, life, teachings and exemplary character. In the year 2025, Milad-un-Nabi can be celebrated from 04 to 05 September i.e. on Thursday to Friday.

History and importance: The history of Milad-un-Nabi is associated with the 13th century, when it was officially celebrated in Egypt. Gradually this festival became popular among Muslims around the world. On this day, the life, teachings and messages of Prophet Muhammad are remembered. The Prophet established the religion of Islam and walks on the path shown by them, Muslims try to do good work in life and worship Allah. This festival brings happiness for the Muslim community. How to celebrate: The celebration of Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated in various ways worldwide.

• Procession/ Juloos: On this day, processions are taken out in place, in which people walk ‘Naat’ (poems written in the pride of Prophet).

• Prayer and prayer: Special prayers are performed in mosques and houses, and the Quran has a recitation.

• Terks and anchors: In many places the poor and the needy are fed food, called anchor or feast.

• Teaching/ Sermons: Prophet is preached on the life and teachings of Muhammad so that people can follow the path shown by them.

• Education and Assembly: On this day we wear new clothes and offer special prayers. Prophet Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca, a city in Arabia. And it is believed that due to his teachings being very valuable, Muslims organize meetings to remember the great teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and discuss them.
