When is Eid-ul-Azha celebrated?

• Eid-ul-Azha in 2025 will be celebrated on June 7 (Saturday) after seeing the moon in India.

1. Eid prayers – Special prayers are performed in the morning.
2. Kurbani (sacrifice) – Goat, camel, buffalo or sheep are sacrificed.
3. Distribution of meat – is divided into three parts:
– One part to the poor,
– Second relatives,
– Third for itself.
4. The day of brotherhood and help – the spirit of equality and service in society promotes.
Why is Eid-ul-Azha celebrated?
Eid-ul-Azha is directly related to the incident of Prophet Ibrahim (Alaihi Salaam) when he pledged to sacrifice his son Ismail (Alaihi Salaam) on the orders of Allah. But as soon as he agreed to sacrifice, Allah sent a frog (Dumba) instead of his son.
This incident gives us this education:
• Allah’s command is paramount.
• True dedication and loyalty are bigger than sacrifice.
