The Pune police arrested NCP (SP) leader Eknath Khadse’s son -in -law Pranjal Khawalkar in a raid on a rave party late on Saturday night. Ganja, wine and hookah have been seized from the apartment. A total of 7 people have been arrested, including 2 women.
On the arrest of the son-in-law, Khadse said- there should be no political motive behind the action of the police, it should be investigated. At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare said that this raid is a message for those who speak against the government.
Pranjal is the husband of Rohini Khadse, daughter of Eknath Khadse. Rohini is the state president of NCP (SP) women’s unit.
Case filed against all 7 accused including Pranjal Khawalkar
The Pune Police was informed of the rave party in a studio apartment in Kharadi area. Based on this, the crime branch raided.
Police said that all the people present in the party were consuming drugs. Several intoxicants including drugs, alcohol have been seized. A case has been registered against all the 7 accused under the NDPS Act and other sections.
Pranjal Khawalkar Sharad Pawar is the son -in -law of party MLA Eknath Khadse and the second husband of Rohini Khadse, the female state president of the Nationalist Party. After divorcing her first husband, Rohini Khadse married her childhood friend Pranjal. Khawalkar and Khadse families live in Muktai Nagar. His wife Rohini Khadse is active in politics. However, her husband Pranjal is away from politics.
Khawalkar is a real estate and event management professional. He has companies in Chinese and energy sector. Apart from this, information has also been revealed that Pranjal also has a travel company.
On 2 March 2025, some boys molested Union Minister Raksha Khadse’s daughter and her friends during a fair in Muktai Nagar area of Jalgaon. Raksha is the daughter -in -law of Eknath Khadse.
In this case, Raksha himself filed a case. After this, the police arrested 4 accused. According to the police, some boys were making videos of Raksha Khadse’s daughter and her friends.
