Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri distributed the first Ayushman Vy Vandana card to the beneficiaries in a program in the capital. Under this scheme, both the Central Government (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) and the Delhi government together will bear medical expenses of Rs 5-5 lakh every year. Due to which a person will get a medical cover of a total of Rs 10 lakh in a year.
Health card will be given to each registered senior citizen
Under the Ayushman Vy Vandana Yojana, each registered senior citizen will be provided with a health card. His complete health records in this card, regular health check -up information and emergency service details will be safely stored. Under this scheme, all medical tests for citizens of 70 years and above in Delhi will be completely free.
