Encounter in Rekhapalli-Komathapalli forest, two uniformed Naxalites killed
Bijapur, 8 November (Hindustan Reporter). In an encounter between security forces and Naxalites on Friday morning in the forest of Rekhapalli-Komathapalli in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, security forces have killed two uniformed Naxalites. After searching, security forces have recovered the bodies of two uniformed Naxalites. The soldiers have also recovered an SLR rifle and other weapons and ammunition from them. Confirming the encounter, Bastar IG Sundarraj P. said that all the soldiers involved in the encounter are safe. Efforts are being made to identify the two Naxalites killed in the encounter. According to the police, information was received about the presence of a large number of Naxalites in the Usoor-Basaguda-Pamed area. On the basis of this information, Bijapur DRG, STF, COBRA and CRPF personnel were sent on a joint operation. An encounter broke out between police and Naxalites in Rekhapalli-Komathpalli forest from 11 am on Friday. In which the security forces have killed two uniformed Naxalites.
