Engineering student who threatened to kill Gautam Gambhir, police arrested
Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, was threatened with death a few days ago through two emails. This news shook every cricket fan and according to media reports, it was estimated that a terrorist organization like ISIS could be behind it. But now the truth of this whole incident has been revealed and the person who threatened to kill Gambhir has been caught.
This threat was not given by any terrorist organization but by a 21 -year -old engineering student from Gujarat and now he has been caught. The authorities have allegedly identified Jignesh Singh Parmar and later questioned him in the case of threatening to kill him. Significantly, Parmar was detained by a team of Central District Police on Friday. Subsequently, after knowing about Parmar’s antics, his family claimed that he was suffering from some mental health problems.
In addition, Delhi Police revealed that the mail came from a suspicious place. Not only this, the timing of the mail is also under question, because it was sent on the day the Pahalgam massacre took place in Jammu and Kashmir. He further said, “Gautam Gambhir is already under the security of Delhi Police and we do not comment on specific security arrangements.”
Talking about the formal complaint, it was found that the complaint regarding the threat of killing the former BJP MP was duly received by Rajinder Nagar Police Station. This is not the first time the Indian head coach has been threatened with death. A similar incident took place in 2022, after which their security was increased.
The complaint made by Gambhir said, “Dear sir, Namaskar. As we talked, please see the ‘threatened mail’ received on the mail ID of the head coach of the Indian cricket team below. Please register an FIR accordingly and ensure family safety.”
