Britain has sent an engineering team to recover fighter jet standing at Thiruvananthapuram Airport in Kerala. Engineers of this team will try to recover the aircraft with Indian engineers and other experts. A British High Commission spokesman said that Britain has posted an engineering team at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to assess and repair the UK F-35B aircraft that landed after the emergency diversion.
On behalf of the British High Commission, it was stated that the UK has accepted a place offer in the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, and is discussing to finalize the system with the concerned authorities. According to the standard process, the aircraft will be transferred after the UK engineers arrive, which are carrying the necessary expert equipment for the movement and repair process. “

The British High Commission spokesperson thanked India for help, saying “UK is very grateful for the continuous support and cooperation of Indian authorities and airport teams.” Earlier, the aircraft was also thanked by Britain for cooperation in emergency landing.

On Saturday, F35 fighter Jet flew training, but due to bad weather, the landing in the ship could not succeed. The fuel fell short due to several attempts. After this, the fighter flight was allowed to land at Thiruvananthapuram Airport at around 9 pm on Saturday night with the permission of authority. The British and Indian Navy in North Arabian C took place on 9 and 10 June. The F35 fighter jet of the UK Navy also participated in this exercise.
