The fourth Test of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between India and England will be played at Old Trafford in Manchester from the coming Wednesday. The England team, which is a 2–1 in the series, has announced their playing XI for this important match on Monday, 21 July.

There has been only one change in the team. Shoaib Bashir, who scored England by 22 runs by dismissing Mohammad Siraj in Lord’s Test, has been ruled out of the fourth and fifth Test due to a hand injury. Bashir underwent surgery after the left -handed finger fracture while stopping Ravindra Jadeja’s ball at Lord’s and will now stay away from the ground for a few weeks.

He has been replaced by 35 -year -old spinner Liam Dawson, who will play Tests for the first time since July 2017. Dawson has been in great form in England’s domestic cricket for the last three years. During this time, he has taken 371 first-class wickets at an average of 31.5 and also has more than 10,000 first-class runs, so that he can also bring depth in the team’s batting.

There has been no change in England’s batting order. Jack Crowley and Ben Docket will open, while Oli Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook and Captain Ben Stokes will handle the middle order. In addition to Dawson in the bowling attack, Chris Woakes, Bridan Cars and Jofra Archer will play as all three pacers.
