England went to become a hero, but the king of the bench became, these 3 Indian players will return without playing a single Test
Indian players: The five matches being played between India and England, Anderson- Tendulkar Trophy 2025 is now at its last stop. The fifth and last match of the series is being played at The Oval from 31 July. Many new and old players were tried in this series, but there were some who got only a chance to heat the bench. Despite being on a full tour with the team, these players were not given a chance to play a single Test.
It was expected that these players would prove themselves by joining Team India’s playing XI, but it did not happen. Let’s know about those 3 Indian players who went to become a hero, but are returning as the king of the bench… ..
1. Abhimanyu Ishwar
The first name in this list is of Indian Players opener Abhimanyu Ishwaran. Abhimanyu Ishwaran’s name is one of the players who are constantly knocking on the door of Team India by scoring runs for India A, but have not been found in the playing XI till now.
He was also included in the team on the tour of England, but did not get a chance to land on the field. Ishwaran is constantly being ignored due to the presence of top order batsmen like KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, while their domestic record makes them a chance.
2. Kuldeep Yadav
Another name in this list is of Kuldeep Yadav, the star spinner of the Indian Players team. Kuldeep Yadav has bowled brilliantly whenever he got a chance in recent times. But he was not allowed to play a single Test in this series against England. In the presence of Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja, he was constantly ignored, while the condition of the pitches was several times adapted to spin. Kuldeep has now been limited to the role of “only Substitute Spinner”, which is unfair to his talent.
3. Arshdeep Singh
The third name in this list is of Indian Players team’s left arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. Arshdeep Singh, who has proved himself in the white ball format, was also included in the Test Squad for the England series. The fans hoped that this fast bowler would get a chance to make a long format, especially when some major fast bowlers were suffering from fatigue or injury. But Arshdeep was limited to bowling only on the nets.
