DRDO head Dr. Sameer V. Kamat has informed that Pinaka and Pinaka Inhned Range Rocket Systems have joined the army fleet. Along with this, he has told that trials of guided Pinaka have also been completed by DRDO. It is also going to be ordered by the army soon. Let us tell you that guided rockets are capable of accurately attacking any target.
Work started on two deadly variants of Pinaka
DRDO chief Dr. Sameer V. Kamat has given another big news further. He has told that DRDO is also going to start work on 120 km range and Pinaka rocket system of 300 km range. These systems will also join the army fleet within the next 3 to 5 years. Sameer V. Kamat has said that the capacity of artillery of the country is completely self -sufficient and we can fulfill whatever will be needed.
Know the special things of Pinaka rocket
Pinaka is a multi barrel rocket launcher system. It has been prepared by two DRDO laboratories ARDI and HemRL located in Pune. These systems are equipped with advanced navigation and control system. The range of Pinaka’s MK-1 rocket system is about 40 km. At the same time, the range of Pinaka II version is 60 km. The latest version of Pinaka is said to be up to 90 km of Pinaka MK-II ER version.
