Explosion in Telangana Chemical Factory: 12 workers killed and 34 injured
तेलंगाना के संगारेड्डी जिले में सोमवार सुबह दवा बनाने वाली फैक्ट्री की रिएक्टर यूनिट में विस्फोट हो गया। घटना में 12 मजदूरों की मौत हो गई, 34 लोग जख्मी हैं। हादसा पाशमिलारम इंडस्ट्रियल एरिया स्थित सिगाची इंडस्ट्रीज में सुबह 8:.15 बजे से 9.30 बजे के बीच हुआ।
State Labor Minister Vivek Venkataswamy said- 4 bodies have been recovered so far. We hope there will be no more death. IG V Satyanarayana said that during the incident there were 150 people in the factory, where 90 people were present in the blast.
He said that along with the teams of NDRF, DRF, SDRF, 10 vehicles of fire brigade are present. The reasons for the blast are being ascertained. The possibility of blast has been expressed due to the rapid chemical reaction in the reactor.
Here, PM Modi expressed grief over the blast incident through X post. The PM National Relief Fund announced the help of ₹ 2 lakh to the family of the deceased and ₹ 50 thousand to the injured.
Workers fell several meters away from the blast
A laborer told that I had come out after completing the night shift at 7 am. The morning shift staff had come in. The blast took place around 8 pm. Mobile accumulates in the shift, due to which no news of the people working inside could be found.
The female family of a laborer said that four people of her family work in the factory. These include his son, son -in -law, brother -in -law and brother -in -law. Three of these were in the morning shift.
According to eyewitnesses, the blast was so fast that the workers working there fell about 100 meters away. The reactor unit has been destroyed due to the explosion.
An employee of the company said that most of the workers are from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal. A shift works in more than 60 laborers and 40 other people.
Company products are exported in 65 countries
Sigachi Industries makes pharmaceutical powder. It has been making Microcystline Cellulose (MCC) since 1989. It is a white colored powder. It has no smell or taste.
MCC is used in the drug and cosmetic industry. Sigachi Industries has five factories across the country including Hyderabad. The company’s products are exported to more than 65 countries.
Sigachi Industries shares fell by 9.89% in the Bombay Stock Exchange after the blast in the factory. Till then it is trading at Rs 49.72 per share.
