Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Thursday. The meeting lasted for about one and a half hours at Taj Lands and Hotel in Mumbai. The program was not included in the schedule of CM Fadnavis.

After this sudden meeting, there is a discussion in the political corridor that the possibilities of alliance between Shiv Sena and MNS (UBT) recently may be stopped at the moment. However, a minister in the Maharashtra government and BJP leader Nitesh Rane said, these meetings are not political. Devendra ji has good relations with every person.

In fact, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray had indicated an alliance with his cousin Raj Thackeray on 6 June. Uddhav had said that the people of Maharashtra will be the same.

Raj Thackeray separated from Shiv Sena in 2006 and made MNS. Maharashtra is expected to have body elections by September this year. The discussion of the alliance between the two parties is intensified due to poor performance between Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS in the 2024 assembly elections. Uddhav’s party got only 20 seats in the 2024 elections. At the same time, MNS’s account was not even open.

Raj Thackeray is active in politics since 1989
In 1989, Raj Thackeray was the President of the Shiv Sena Student Wing, Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at the age of 21. Raj was so active that within 6 years from 1989 to 1995, he made countless tours of every corner of Maharashtra. By 1993, he associated millions of youth with himself and Shiv Sena. As a result, Shiv Sena’s strong ground network stood in the entire state.
