Born on 10 July 1942 in Kankipadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kota Srinivas was from a reputed family, who said goodbye to the world at the age of 83 due to prolonged illness. His father Sita Ram Anjaneyulu was a doctor. Kota Srinivas Rao wanted to follow his father’s footsteps in childhood. But, later he decided to create an actor and he joined the theater to complete his acting passion during college days. Also worked in State Bank. He made his debut in 1978 with ‘Pranam Karau’. He joined the BJP in the 1990s and was elected a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Vijayawada seat in 1999.
