Basanti Chatterjee was hospitalized for months. He was later discharged from the hospital. The doctors had advised the family to keep them at home under the supervision of nurses at this stage. Basanti Chatterjee breathed his last at his home on Tuesday night.
Basanti Chatterjee was a well-known name of Bengali cinema. He acted in more than 100 films in his five -decade long career. Basanti Chatterjee acted in many best films like Thugini, Manjari Opera and Alo. Apart from this, she also appeared in popular TV shows like Bhootu, Boron, Durga Durgeshri.
Basanti Chatterjee last appeared in the show ‘Geeta LLB’. She fell seriously ill during the shooting of the show.
