London: Three people were killed and another seriously injured in a firing incident in a rural area of Northern Ireland. Police and ambulance service have given information about the incident on Wednesday. The police have not revealed the cause of the incident. However, Jemma Dolan, a member of that region in the Northern Ireland Assembly, described it as an ‘domestic event’ in a post on social media.

What did the Ireland police say?

Northern Ireland Police Service reported that the incident of firing in Magusbridge village, located about 120 km south-west of the capital Belfast, is no longer threatened by the people there. According to the police service, police and paramedics were called to the scene in the village after 8 am on Wednesday morning. Police said two people were declared dead by medical workers who arrived on the spot, while two seriously injured people were rushed to the hospital, one of whom died later. According to police, an injured is undergoing treatment and his condition is critical.

Superintendent of Police Robert McGowon said, “The four were shot and I can confirm that the four are from the same house.” Another member of the Northern Ireland Assembly Debora Arskin said, “The entire community is” shocked “with the firing in a rural, quiet area”.
