America Floods in New Mexico have caused severe havoc. 3 people, including 2 children, died due to torrential rains and terrible floods. At the same time, more than 200 houses have collapsed. The most devastation occurred in a mountainous village Ruidoso, about 210 km from Albuquruck. The dead include a 4 -year -old girl and a 7 -year -old boy.

Family swept away from camp

This family of 3 people was in a RV camp. When the river suddenly flooded, it was swept away. Two other people are seriously injured, who have been hospitalized. In the strong rainfall for about 90 minutes, up to 3.5 inches of rain was recorded. During this time, the water level of the river reached 20 feet in just 45 minutes. An entire house was washed away in the river, as well as 35–50 houses. While about 200 houses were damaged.

Rescue operation

At least 85 rapid water rescue operations were conducted in flood -affected areas. Governor Mitchell Wuzain Grisham understood and took steps for federal assistance. Long-term preparations like removal of sediment from the river, repairing bridges and planting trees are being done.

Governor surveyed

State Governor Mitchell Luzan Grisham and other officials conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas. The region has been facing disasters like wildfire and frequent floods for the last one year. The governor said that the state has got partial approval of the federal emergency announcement, so that additional employees will be able to help in search and rescue operations. He described it as the first step and said that Rideoso needs more help than this.
