Delhi Capitals (DC) Australian batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk has decided to leave the rest of the IPL 2025 tournament. He was excluded from the playing XI due to poor form and now Mustafizur Rahman of Bangladesh has been made his replacement. Fraser’s coach has revealed that the cancellation of the match in Dharamshala and the situation after that shook the young player.

Delhi Capitals bought Jake Fraser-Macagark for Rs 9 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Initially, he also got a chance in the playing XI, but was able to score just 55 runs in the first six matches. He was dropped from the team after a match against Rajasthan in Delhi on 16 April due to poor performance.

Fraser coach Shannon Young while talking to the Times of India said that the player has been mentally affected by all this. The match between Punjab and Delhi in Dharamshala was canceled due to Indo-Pak tension and the team was sent back to Delhi at that time.

Shannon said, “He was quite shaken by that incident. He looked more upset than the rest of the players, especially because he was the youngest in this tour. The whole process of evacuation and then Delhi was very heavy for him.” He also said that the Delhi Capitals Management took over the entire situation very well and kept the safety of the players at the top.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that Star Australian Pacer Mitchell Starc, who is playing for Delhi, can also withdraw his name from IPL 2025.
