Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached Mexico, will participate in many important meetings

Mexico City/New Delhi, October 17 (Hindustan Reporter) Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived at Guadalajara Airport on Thursday on her first official visit to Mexico. Upon Sitharaman’s arrival here, India’s Ambassador to Mexico Pankaj Sharma welcomed her. Guadalajara Airport is also known as Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport (GDL).

The Finance Minister’s Office said in a statement issued on the ‘X’ post that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was welcomed by India’s Ambassador to Mexico Pankaj Sharma upon her arrival at Guadalajara Airport. Earlier, India’s Deputy Prime Minister to Mexico Ms. Deepti Ganji welcomed the Union Finance Minister after his arrival at International Benito Juarez in Mexico City.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will interact with political and business leaders from various sectors in Guadalajara and Mexico City. The objective of this dialogue is to explore possibilities of further cooperation in trade, investment, technology, innovation and DPI to further deepen bilateral relations between India and Mexico.

It is noteworthy that Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is leaving on an official tour of Mexico and America from October 17 to 26, 2024. During this visit, Sitharaman will participate in the annual meetings of the IMF-World Bank. During this period, apart from bilateral meetings with many countries and organizations, she will also participate in the meetings of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of G-20 countries.
