FIR lodged against Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Love and War’ stuck in legal digestion before release

An FIR has been lodged against Sanjay Leela Bhansali and two others after accusing a person of fraud, abuse and betrayal in Bikaner, Rajasthan. News agency PTI quoted police sources as saying that the FIR is associated with Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Love and War’, which is going to be seen Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. However, this upcoming film is now engulfed in controversies before the release. On the court’s order, an FIR has been lodged at Bichwal police station in Bikaner.

Prateek Raj Mathur has filed a complaint, who claimed that filmmaker Sanjay removed him from the project without paying the responsibility of the line producer. He took over the responsibility of administrative permission, security arrangements, hotel booking and other shooting preparations. But despite this, he was fired from work without payment. According to the FIR, on August 17, when Prateek reached the hotel Narendra Bhavan in Bikaner, Bhansali, Utkarsh and Arvind Gill misbehaved with him. He refused to do any kind of contract and threatened that Prateek’s company would no longer get any work. Prateek first tried to lodge a complaint with the police station, but there was no hearing.

He said that after the order of the court, an FIR was lodged against Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Arvind Gill and Utkarsh Bali at Bichhwal police station on Monday under allegations of fraud, criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation. The FIR has also revealed that the symbol was appointed on the basis of email.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Love and War’ is being introduced as an epic story, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. Many scenes of this film are being shot in Rajasthan, in which Ranbir and Vicky play the role of pilot of the Indian Air Force. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 20 March 2026.
