The firing took place on Tuesday morning due to a dispute that broke out after the departure of Rohini Acharya near the booth located at Bhikhari Chowk in Saran. A young man died in this. Also two people were seriously injured. People became furious after the incident. People protested demanding the arrest of the killer. They say that BJP workers have opened fire. After voting on Monday, these people had misbehaved in front of Rohini Acharya, the Lok Sabha candidate from Saran Lok Sabha constituency. Three people were shot this morning. Here, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and pacified the people. Adequate number of policemen have been deployed at Bhikhari Thakur Chowk.
The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Chandan Kumar of Nagendra Rai, resident of Bada Telpa of Nagar police station area. The injured include Gudu Rai, 30-year-old son of Shambhu Rai and Manoj Rai, 40-year-old son of Vishesh Rai. Both of them have been referred to PMCH Patna after first aid at Sadar Hospital. Injured Manoj was shot in the waist while Guddu Rai was shot in the head. On receiving information about the incident, former minister cum RJD MLA from Madhaura Jitendra Rai reached Sadar Hospital. He demanded the arrest of the killer. Saran Commissioner N Saravanan and Deputy Inspector General of Police Vikas Vaibhav along with District Magistrate Aman Sameer and Superintendent of Police Dr Gaurav Mangala reached the spot. He assured the people of the arrest of the killers. After this, hundreds of police forces were deployed. Police are conducting raids in search of the killer.
Regarding this matter, former minister cum RJD MLA Jitendra Rai said that late on Monday night, a video of BJP workers abusing and using abusive language in front of RJD candidate Dr. Rohini Acharya is going viral. Despite this, BJP leaders and workers fired in the air and fired shots at youths who had come to drink tea at Bhikhari Thakur Chowk in the morning. During which one youth died and two youth were badly injured.
