The Retreat Ceremony took place on Tuesday (May 20) on Tuesday (May 20) on the Attari-Wagah border between India and Pakistan in Punjab. This ceremony lasted for about 1 hour. It was closed on 7 May after India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ air strike on Pakistan on the night of 6-7 May.

Some changes have been made by BSF. During the retreat, gates on the border of India and Pakistan were closed. The soldiers of both countries did not even join hands with each other. During this, a contingent of women soldiers of BSF also paraded.

A large number of people arrived with the tricolor to see the retreat from India. When the BSF soldiers showed enthusiasm, they whistle and applause. However, the gallery towards Pakistan looked empty. To show the crowd, Pakistani Rangers placed the workers there in the gallery.

Apart from Attari-Wagah, Hussainiwala in Ferozepur and Saadki border in Fazilka also retreated. Let us know that the Retreat Ceremony has been happening as a custom between the two countries since 1959.
