Five children died in house fire in Izmir, Turkey
Istanbul, November 12 (IANS). Five siblings have died in a house fire in Türkiye’s western port city of Izmir.
According to local media, the incident occurred in Selcuk district late on Monday evening when the children’s mother had gone out of the house to collect scrap to help the family. The woman had closed the door of the house.
According to reports, the fire occurred due to the overturning of an electric stove. According to Xinhua news agency, the bodies of five siblings, aged one to five years, were found in the same room.
Selcuk Mayor Filiz Ceritoglu said on her social media account that the district governor and prosecutors were investigating the incident.
